(b) & Strato Copteros (dr) are «The Katembas». A classic blues-rock cover band from Eshowe, South Africa. They perform the music of the likes of JJ Cale, Eric Clapton, Dusty Springfield, Paul Simon and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Drummer Strato Copteros and bassist/singer Lizzie Gaisford left Cape Town during the pandemic for the low rent and community of the small town of Eshowe. They naturally teamed up with well-established solo singer/guitarist Dave Starke to simply “play for the people.” In three years, they have clocked an impressive number of performing hours, built a large repertoire and have played throughout KZN and the Eastern Cape.
